FRECH 160

A hot-chamber machine, used in the production of parts made of aluminum and zinc alloys, which have low melting points (aluminum about 660°C, and zinc about 420°C). The material is heated and maintained at the melting point in the hot chamber of the injection molding machine, and then injected into the tool forming cavity.

Frech 20

Hot-chamber machine for manufacturing small-sized and lightweight ZnAl alloy castings. Injection molding machines with smaller dimensions allow greater control over the injection molding process, and are better suited for obtaining accurate dimensions and shapes.

Process characteristics

Zinc alloys are highly fluid. This property makes it possible to utilize them for the production of castings with complex shapes and thin walls, as well as enables to manufacture threaded parts. They do not react chemically with the mold material and do not adhere to its surface.

Compared to other engineering materials, zinc alloys have a unique set of operational and technological advantages, properties that contribute to high production efficiency, providing:
  • low cost of cast parts
  • high resistance to corrosion and abrasion
  • low coefficient of friction
  • favorable strength-to-weight ratio
  • possibility to apply decorative coatings
  • increased attenuation and shielding capabilities.

Zinc alloys play a major role in the production of decorative interior fittings and fixtures, and are often used in mechanical engineering to produce moderately loaded structural components. For example, zinc alloys are used in modern vehicles to produce carburetor housings, windshield wipers and mirrors, oil pump and hydraulic brake components, engine and trunk supports, radiator grilles, interior and body components, door handles, seat belt locks. The range of zinc castings is constantly expanding.

Having questions?

What is the minimum production batch size?
In order to maintain a balance between the economy of time utilization and the cost of detail production, we have set a minimum production batch size of 100 pieces.
What electronic documentation formats do you accept?
We accept electronic documentation in the following formats: Solidworks, Parasolid, STEP, SAT, IGES. 2D drawings: Solidworks, DWG, DXF, possibly PDF.
What casting alloys are used in production?
Most of our production is made from the following alloys: DIN 226 D - EN AC 46000, DIN 230 D - EN AC 44300, DIN 231 D - EN AC 47100, DIN 239 D - EN AC 43400
Can I order production based on a specimen?
Such orders are always considered individually after detailed consultation and estimation of the cost of preparing the design of the workpiece and tooling.
Is it possible to have the details anodized?
Of course! As part of the cooperation, we are also able to offer this type of service and provide comprehensive production.
Can I outsource production from an existing mold?
Yes, we engage in production using existing tools after prior verification of documentation and inspection of the mold.
No answer?
Not a problem!
Contact us - we usually respond within 24 hours.
